Business School academics chaired Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship Conference

The Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE) Conference was held at Cardiff City Hall on 12th-13th November.

It was chaired by Professor David Pickernell, with Christine Atkinson and Dr Christopher Miller from the Centre for Enterprise at the Business School also on the organising committee.

This successful conference, attended by several hundred delegates also saw a range of papers delivered by other colleagues from the Business School, including:

  • Paul Peachey: Making an Impact: Addressing the Balance between Practice and Theory
  • Dr. Jonathan Deacon: Mind the gap! – Gendered networking processes; and The operation and meaning of a language for enterprise, and entrepreneurship in research, policy and practice
  • Dr. Ramdane Djebarni
  • Amanda Jones
  • Dr. Lyndon Murphy

The event also saw Dr Jonathan Deacon elected to the Board of Trustees of ISBE.
